Answer – Rajarshi Gupta

Rajarshi Gupta has taken over as Managing Director of ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), the overseas investment arm of state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

He replaces Alok Gupta who superannuated last month.

"Rajarshi Gupta has more than 33 years of wide-ranging experience in supervisory, managerial and strategic planning capacities in domestic and international operations of ONGC and ONGC Videsh," the company said in a statement adding he took over on July 19.

Capital markets regulator Sebi on Tuesday announced that Pramod Rao has taken charge as its executive director.

He will handle the department of debt and hybrid securities as well as the enquiry and adjudication department, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said in a statement.

Rao took charge as executive director at Sebi on July 15, it added.

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the Udyam Kranti Yojana. According to officials, the MP Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti plan was announced for the first time in November 2021, as per the MSME department’s gazette announcement, but it was never executed. Loans ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh would be offered to youth under this scheme for self-employment.

Answer – Kerala

Kerala is now the first and only state in the country to have its own internet service, according to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who made the announcement. The announcement followed the Department of Telecommunications’ granting of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) licence to the IT infrastructure project of the Kerala Fiber Optic Network Ltd (K-Fon), which aims to provide everyone in the state access to the internet.
